In the fall of 2024, the Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act
(NS OHS Act) was updated to require ALL workplaces in Nova Scotia to establish and implement a policy for the prevention of harassment in the workplace. This will come into effect on September 1, 2025. This new policy will also require all staff to be trained and educated on your newly created policy.
With the change in the Nova Scotia Occupational Health and Safety Act, you will be required to update your copy of the NS OHS Act for your workplace. You can download the most current version here in pdf.
